How to get cooking oil out of clothes

When you get an oil stain on your clothes, the most important thing is to let it dry first. Try and scratch off as much as possible with a blunt knife of a spoon to avoid cutting the fabric. Use a heavy-duty detergent on the stain and let it sit for 5 minutes. Wash the garment as directed on the label. You may want to add some stain-remover to your wash. Don't dry it in the tumble dryer unless you're certain the stain has completely gone.
