1. Fill a saucepan with water and bring it to a boil.
2. Lower the heat to a simmer and carefully place 2 eggs in the water.
3. Simmer the eggs for 4 minutes.
4. Remove the eggs from the water with a slotted spoon and cool them under cold running water.
5. Place the eggs in egg-cups, cut off the top and season with salt and pepper. Serve with bread.
