Cooking instructions

1. In a saucepan, combine 3 cups water with 1 cup of milk of your choice. Bring to a simmer.
2. Melt 1 tbs butter in a skillet and toast 1 cup of steel cut oats for 2 minutes while stirring regularly.
3. Add the oats to the water and cook for 20 minutes, while stirring regularly.
4. Add 1/4 tsp salt and simmer the oats for 10 more minutes until all the liquid has been absorbed.
5. Remove the saucepan from the stovetop and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving with your favorite toppings.
