Cooking instructions

1. Wash 1 lb of chicken livers, trim the fat and cut them in halves. Pat them dry with paper towel. Chop up 2 medium onions and slice the bacon.
2. Heat 4 tbs of oil and 3 oz of butter in a frying pan and fry the bacon. Add the onion until tender.
3. Lower the heat, add 1 chopped tomato and the chicken livers. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add 2 tsp of ground pepper, 1/3 glass of white wine and 3 tbs of majoram. Cook for 5 more minutes.
5. Turn up the heat to thicken the stew. The livers are ready when no blood comes out of them. Check with a knife.
