1. Rinse 1 pound of bay scallops and pat them dry with paper towel.
2. Season the scallops with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
3. Heat the butter in a large frying pan and sauté the crushed garlic cloves until brown.
4. Add the bay scallops to the frying pan and sear for 3 minutes. Make sure the scallops don't stick to the pan.
5. Leave to rest for 1 minute before serving and sprinkle with some fresh parsley for extra flavor.
